About Cover Story

Cover Story began when we were expecting our daughter and started looking for ways to reduce the presence of screens in our home. But the dream of her growing up around books instead of screens ran into how much we relied on our phones. So we made something that looked like a book in our hands, even when we were using a device.

The first prototypes were bold and high-contrast, made for our newborn daughter’s eyes, still learning to see. Then our parent friends pointed out something we had missed. A bold cover is perfect for an immobile baby, but once a child is a curious toddler, they want to see exactly what you’re looking at. So we made a second, more classic cover, elegant enough that a curious toddler is happy to look past it.

Now we get to share Cover Story with you. We use ours around the house every single day, and we hope you’ll love yours just as much.

Cover Story is made by Retail Opportunity LLC. We fulfill every order by hand from our home in California, where we live with our daughter.
